Kym Johnson Biography

Celebrity dancer, Kym Johnson is an Australian professional ballroom dancer, model, and television celebrity known as being a professional dancer on ABC's 'Dancing with the Stars'. Kym began dancing at the age of 2 and ballroom dancing at 13 years old. Kym and her partner, Lithuanian Tomas Atkocevicius, placed second at the Australian Dancesport Championships in the Open Amateur Modern Ballroom and also were finalists as the U.K. Ballroom Championships at Blackpool. She has retired from competitive ballroom dance but continues dancing on stage.

Kym has appeared in a number of events and films, including: 'Burn the Floor', a touring ballroom dance production, performing at Elton John's 50th Birthday party, dancing at the 'Blade Runner' launch party dancing in the film 'Strictly Ballroom', Australian program "Celebrity Survivor"

Kym has appeared on 'Dancing with the Stars' in Australia and America. Dance partners have included; television presenter Tom Williams, talk show icon Jerry Springer, N'Sync Joey Fatone, Billionaire Mark Cuban, magician Penn Jillette, former NFL Player Warren Sapp, actor David Alan Grier, entertainer Donny Osmond, actor David Hasselhoff and professional athlete Hines Ward.
